So it was for the First Coming of the Lord. An event as important as that and now Jesus says to them: “You are not going to say that I am Jesus the Christ.”
In other words, remember that Christ means: ‘Messiah,’ ‘Anointed One.’
“Do not go and say that I am the Anointed One, that I am the Messiah.”
May those of the Last Day understand this for the Coming of the Lord to His Church.
Christ did not want fanaticism and neither… That was a revelation for whom? For the believers in Him.
That is why in the parables we find, in Matthew, chapter 13… because sometimes people believe that if something from God comes to His people, it is for everybody. Let’s see if the revelation is for everybody, or if it is for some. Chapter 13, verse 10 and on, it says (this was after the parable of the sower):
“And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?”
That is what many people sometimes say: “Why don’t they speak to us openly and to everybody?” That is what they are talking about here, demanding; because they want to demand the Lord not to speak to them by parables but to speak to them openly.
And the one who decides how it is to be spoken is the Sent One. The others have no right to demand anything in that sense. For he who brings the Message is the Sent One; and as God uses him, so must it be spoken; and he who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying by the Sent One.
And see, the Scripture we read says:1 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
It is the Holy Spirit speaking in the midst of the Church, from age to age, through the messenger sent for each age.
They could demand of Saint Paul, Irenaeus, Martin, Columba, Luther, Wesley, and Reverend William Branham, to speak to them openly, but He speaks to us…
For example, the seventh messenger speaks to us by parables also, by dreams, visions, and that a Rider comes on a white horse; that is a parable, that is by symbolism.
“Why does he not speak to us openly?” That is how the Holy Spirit spoke through Reverend William Branham; and no one has the right to say that he had to speak in another way.
Well, here we are going to see Christ with the same problem; or not Christ: the disciples; because the messenger does not have the problem, but the people. Moses did not have the problems at that time, but the people. See? Always demanding it from the messenger, from Moses.
And remember this, because a prophet… Moses says: “The Lord your God will raise you up a prophet like me, you will listen to him.”
Not: “You will be demanding and fighting with him,” but: “Him you shall hear.” In the way he speaks. Like that. And you pray to God that God will open your understanding.
(…) We have to take into account all this that is in history, of what happened in other ages and other dispensations, because it is going to be repeated with new characters, with people of the end time; and that is why we have the history of what happened there in past times of previous ages and dispensations, so that we understand that it is going to be repeated but with new people.
THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Hidden things, which were not openly made known to the people, were revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ, but in parables; so that although the people heard those parables in which He was declaring things hidden since the foundation of the world, they did not understand them.
But it says that He explained them privately to His disciples. And His disciples, as you and I would think at this time (you and I), they also thought at that time: “And why does He not speak openly, and why is He speaking to them in parables, and why then to us He explains the parables privately?, but to the public He does not explain the parables but He speaks everything in parables.”
You see, the mystery of the Kingdom of God must be understood by those who belong to the Kingdom of God.
If those who do not belong to the Kingdom of God, those who do not belong to the wheat represented in this parable, come to understand it, what will they do? What they will do is to try to destroy the Kingdom of God, to affect the Program that God has in His Kingdom; because those who are not of the Kingdom of God are not interested at all in the Kingdom of God moving forward.
What good can the children of the devil do in the Kingdom of God? Harm, try to destroy the Kingdom of God; because the devil can inspire and can use his children. But God can use the children of the Kingdom of Heaven when He makes known to them the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, and shows them the time in which they live, and the Work to be carried out in that time.
That is why you find that the Bible for many people is a book that cannot be understood. There are many parables, there are many proverbs (a parable is like a proverb), there are many biblical symbolisms, there are many types and figures; so that only those who are wise understand, in the time in which they must understand, what corresponds to them at that time.
You and I do not have to understand Noah’s ark. Noah had to understand that with those who entered Noah’s ark. Today we understand it; but where they had to understand it in order to put it into action was at that time.
And so it is in every time. The Kingdom of God has many stages here on Earth, which are manifested and are carried out with human beings that belong to the Kingdom of God. And God has a Program that He has been developing since He placed man here on Earth. And He placed him according to His Program; and His Program has not stopped.
Of course, the Kingdom of God is a mystery, the Work of God is a mystery, even the human being is a mystery; but all those mysteries are spoken by parables; and then they are revealed, made known, the meaning of those parables, of those proverbs, of those prophecies, in the time in which all that must be understood; so that no one can interrupt the Work of God.
