887 – “Heavenly Father, we by faith look towards the future. I’m looking now, by faith, towards a coming something, Lord, upon the earth, that’s going to draw Thy people together. When we see the denominational churches so pinning down and getting so different, it’s really pushing the people out… / Now I pray, God, as I see the day that the denomination is pressing the believers, excommunicating them, saying, that, ‘Their name must be upon their book, or they’re lost. Have nothing to do with the other group.’ It’s only the tender hand of Jehovah, leading them to the Tree of Life.”

FIGHTING TO OVERCOME AND REIGN

Dr. William Soto Santiago

And now, we find that there has been a struggle between Christ and the devil.

Christ fought, overcame and sat on the Throne of God in Heaven: He won the victory. But now there is a struggle to sit on the Throne of David. And Christ carries out that struggle, but the devil also struggles to sit on the Throne of David; because the promise is that from that Throne of David one will reign and rule over the Hebrew people and over all nations.

Therefore, the devil will be active fighting against Christ and the Program of Christ. The devil will try to get ahead to sit on the Throne of David. How will he do it? Through the antichrist, the man of sin, he will try to deceive the Hebrew people.

The Hebrew people, because they didn’t receive Christ in His First Coming, the King of Israel, to sit Him on the Throne of David… Christ said: “I have come in my Father’s Name, and you didn’t receive me; another will come in his own name, and him you will receive.”1

The antichrist will come in his own name to the Hebrew people and will deceive the Hebrew people, because he will go with peace. For the Hebrew people are waiting for peace, and the man who will speak peace to them and promise peace for the Hebrew people, that will be their messiah. And the antichrist, the man of sin, will try to deceive the Hebrew people (that is, the devil through the man of sin); for he who sits on the Throne of David, will rule over the Hebrew people and over all the nations that are on the Earth.

God will give authority over all nations to the one who will sit on the Throne of David, to rule them with a rod of iron, and they will be broken like a potter’s vessel. Christ says: “As I have received from my Father.” Revelation, chapter 2, verses 26 to 27:

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.”

Just as Jesus Christ received authority over the entire Creation, over the entire universe, from the Father when He sat on the Throne of the Father in Heaven (Christ rules the entire universe and gives support to all the Creation from that Throne); and now, in the same way that Christ received authority from the Father, Christ will give authority to the one who sits on the Throne of David. Therefore the promise is: “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations…”

And now, the devil knows that and knows those Scriptures, and knows that the only place where a King will sit and rule over the Hebrew people and over all nations, to fulfill that glorious Millennial Kingdom of Christ, is the Throne of David. There is no other throne here on Earth that holds that promise.

The throne of the kingdom of the gentiles in the fourth stage, of the legs of iron and feet of iron and clay, is the throne of the Caesars; and that throne has no promises to remain for the Millennium and for eternity.

That throne of the Caesars, notice, it will be taken away; and the throne of the Caesars… and then it becomes the throne of the antichrist, of the beast, the throne of Satan. It will be taken away, the government of that throne will cease, according to Revelation, chapter 11, verses 15 and on, where it says:

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

And now the kingdoms of this world will be of our God, of our Lord Jesus Christ; therefore, the devil will have no part nor lot in that glorious Kingdom of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. That is why the devil in Revelation, chapter 20, is bound and placed in the bottomless pit, that he should deceive the nations no more: for the devil will have no part nor lot in that Millennial Kingdom of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation, chapter 20, verse 1 and on, says:

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years…”

Who could this Angel that comes with the key to the abyss be? In Revelation, chapter 1, verse 18, it says… let’s see, 17 to 18, it says:

“And when I saw him (that is, when he saw Christ, the Son of Man), I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death (that is, the keys to hades – to death and to hell).”

Therefore, Christ will place, bind and place the devil, the old serpent, where? In the abyss; and he (the devil) will no longer be able to deceive the nations, and he will no longer be able to rule over the nations. Therefore, the kingdom of the devil, the kingdom of darkness will be taken away; and the glorious Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ our Savior will be established. Christ will sit upon the Throne of David, to which He is heir.

And: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”2

We must overcome; and to overcome we must fight, to be able to reign with Christ for the Millennium and for all eternity.

We also find that Christ has been fighting; and in this end time he will fight against the devil, who will be incarnated in the antichrist, and Christ will overcome him.
